Suprasorb® P sensitive heel is a sterile silicone foam dressing with a superabsorbent absorbent core that has been specially developed for the treatment of wounds on the heel. It enables atraumatic wound care and protects the sensitive skin.
Suprasorb® P sensitive heel consists of a silicone wound contact layer, an absorbent polyurethane foam, a non-woven distribution layer, a superabsorbent absorbent core and a water vapour-permeable and waterproof backing layer. The five-layer structure enables dynamic fluid management to create and maintain an optimal moist wound environment, which favours faster wound closure and can help to reduce the risk of maceration.
The soft silicone layer can be lifted and repositioned without losing its adhesive properties. This layer also helps to minimise patient pain and trauma to the wound and surrounding skin during dressing changes. The absorbent padding layer provides excellent absorption and traps exudate.
