Supaferrin® capsules contain a combination of lactoferrin, iron (Ferrazone®), vitamin C, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, folic acid and vitamin B12.

Supaferrin® is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diets) and is used for the dietary management of iron deficiency or iron deficiency anaemia . It is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over with low iron or haemoglobin levels due to iron deficiency.

Supaferrin® is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diets) and isused for diet management in cases of iron deficiency or iron deficiency anaemia .

Supaferrin® is suitable for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over with low iron or haemoglobin levels due to iron deficiency , which may be caused by

due to acute or chronic blood loss
in women with hypermenorrhoea or metrorrhagia
during pregnancy, after childbirth or during breastfeeding
reduced intake due to a vegetarian diet, for example, or a low iron content in the diet
in cases of poor intestinal absorption

The special formulation of Supaferrin® combines the body's own protein Lactoferrin with Ferrazone® as a modern iron supplement, supplemented with vitamin C. As an antioxidant, this water-soluble vitamin is a recognised promoter of iron absorption.

The innovative combination of Supaferrin® is further enhanced by the addition of selected B vitamins, which further support iron metabolism . All B vitamins in Supaferrin® are present in their biologically active form and are precisely harmonised with each other. Direct supplementation of B vitamins in their coenzymatic form ensuresgreater biological availability and better absorption into the body's cells.

Directions for use

Supaferrin® should be taken with sufficient liquid and at two-day intervals ( Monday, Wednesday and Friday is a reasonable schedule). Although Ferrazone® is compatible with other foods, it is not recommendedto take it with milk or dairy products.
Important note: Use only under medical supervision. Regular checks of ferritin levels arerecommended in consultation with your doctor. Not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition. Supaferrin® can be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Not suitable for people with high iron blood levels.

Ingredients

Ingredients: L-ascorbic acid, Ferrazone® (iron (III) sodium EDTA), coating agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (vegetable capsule shell with colouring: Iron oxide), 14.2 % lactoferrin from cow's milk, rice flour, riboflavin 5-phosphate sodium, pyridoxal 5-phosphate, 5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine, methylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin, 5-deoxyadenosylcobalamin.
Composition per capsule: lactoferrin 100 mg, vitamin C 200 mg, iron 20 mg, vitamin B2 1.4 mg, vitamin B6 1.4 mg, folic acid 800 μg, vitamin B12 2.5 μg.
