View package leaflet

When it dries, StrataXRT forms a thin, flexible and protective layer that is gas-permeable and waterproof. StrataXRT is bacteriostatic and inert. StrataXRT has no measurable pH value and therefore has no influence on the sensitive acid mantle of the skin. StrataXRT has been specially developed for use on open wounds and damaged skin. Can be used directly after the first irradiation or on first and second degree burns. Does not need to be removed before radiotherapy.

How to use

  • Clean and dry the affected skin or superficial wound.
  • Apply a very thin layer of StrataXRT® directly to the affected area and allow the gel to dry. StrataXRT® should be applied to the affected area once or twice a day.
  • For best results, StrataXRT® should be in constant contact with the skin (24 hours per day).
  • Notes: StrataXRT does not cause a bolus effect. The patient can be irradiated without removing the StrataXRT film. StrataXRT can be stored in the refrigerator to provide a pleasant cooling effect when applied. StrataXRT can be applied more frequently to the affected skin area to reduce symptoms such as itching or redness. If StrataXRT is applied correctly to the affected areas, it should dry within 5-6 minutes. If the drying process takes longer, you may have applied too much. Carefully remove any excess with a clean cloth or gauze and wait until the drying process is complete, consult the instructions for use, doctor or pharmacist for information on effects or possible adverse reactions.
