Solutio Cordes® is a solution for application to the scalp containing the active ingredient sodium bituminosulphonate, light-coloured, from the group of sulphonated shale oils. Solutio Cordes® is used for the supportive treatment of scaly scalp disorders associated with sebum overproduction.

It inhibits the excessive production of sebum and thus primarily causes a reduction in dandruff and "greasy" skin. It also has an anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antibacterial, antifungal and circulation-promoting effect. The alcoholic base of Solutio Cordes® causes the skin sebum to dissolve and the scales to fall off and also has an antibacterial effect.

How to use

Type of application: For use on the (scalp) skin. Correct application is a prerequisite for successful treatment with Solutio Cordes. You should therefore take the time to do this every day.

The dry hair is first brushed vigorously "against the grain", i.e. towards the crown of the head or towards the vertebrae.
Then apply as much Solutio Cordes to the scalp until the hair is well moisturised. The amount depends on the oil content and the length of the hair.
Solutio Cordes is spread with the fingers and gently massaged in, creating a light lather that quickly dissipates.
This dissolves the sebum and removes the dandruff. To remove the grease and dandruff, it is necessary to rub the hair dry with a towel .This transfers the sebum and dandruff to the towel. If drying is omitted, the sebum and dandruff will remain unchanged on the scalp after Solutio Cordes has evaporated .

Dosage for adults: Solutio Cordes is applied to the affected scalp two to three times a day. The duration of application depends on the success of the treatment; treatment should be continued until the symptoms subside. Use beyond 8 weeks has not been investigated. The frequency of application of Solutio Cordes depends on the clinical picture, but should not exceed three times a day.

100 g solution contains 0.5 g sodium bituminosulphonate, light-coloured.
The other ingredients are 2-propanol, sodium lauryl ether sulphate, propylene glycol, purified water.
