11 digestive enzymes in the enzyme complex

Enzymes control and accelerate biological reactions in the body and thus also help with the digestion of food components. Our Solgar® enzyme complex even contains 11 of these little digestive helpers. The body can also produce these 7 itself: Amylase (breaking down carbohydrates into simple sugars, proteases (breaking down proteins into amino acids), lipsases (breaking down fats into free fatty acids and glycerol), lactases (breaking down lactose into galactose and glucose), invertases (breaking down table sugar into glucose and fructose) and maltases (breaking down the double sugar maltose into two times glucose).

4 natural enzymes in the Solgar® enzyme complex

Our Solgar® Enzyme Complex not only contains the enzymes that the body can produce itself. It also contains 4 enzymes that only find their way into your body through your diet. Cellulase is responsible for the breakdown of cellulose. Perhaps you've come across bromelain or papain before? The papaya enzyme papain comes (as the name suggests) from the papaya fruit and the pineapple enzyme it contains is bromelain. Cellulase and pectinase are less well known but are also present.

Take a look in your kitchen. You will probably find all or most of the spices and herbs that are also found in our enzyme complex: Fennel, cumin, camomile, aniseed and ginger. They are all beneficial for your gastrointestinal system.

  • One to a maximum of three capsules per day with meals.
