SinoPlaSan Magnesium Flakes Zechstein are suitable for making full baths, hand baths or foot baths. Ideal for regeneration after physical exertion.

The roots of maca (Lepidium meyenii Walp.) have become increasingly popular in recent years. However, the Incas already knew about the speciality of this superfood and used the plant's tubers for a wide variety of applications.

The magnesium chloride contained in this product comes from the magnesium chloride deposits of the former Zechstein Sea, which dried up around 250 million years ago. The Zechstein Sea is considered the purest and most natural source of high-quality magnesium chloride in the world. It is extracted in the Netherlands from a depth of 1600 metres and its quality is constantly monitored and analysed.

Magnesium chloride is authorised for external use and is applied to the skin.

Magnesium flakes are produced when magnesium oil is heated to over 165 degrees Celsius. This changes the aggregate state of the magnesium oil from liquid to solid. Magnesium flakes have a magnesium chloride content of 47% and consist of 53% water. The solidity of the flakes results from the strongly water-binding (hygroscopic) property of magnesium chloride. The packaging should therefore always be well sealed, otherwise the flakes will turn back into magnesium oil.

Transdermal magnesium offers many advantages over other magnesium sources, as it:

  • Does not irritate the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract
  • Does not have a laxative effect, even at high doses on the skin
  • Can be applied locally to the desired areas (areas with sweat glands are recommended)
  • Is suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women

How to use
  • When dissolved in water, these flakes are suitable for a full bath, hand or foot bath and for gentle skin care.
  • Recommended bath temperature: 37°C.
  • Bath duration: 20 to 30 minutes.
  • We recommend approx. 500 - 750 g flakes for a full bath.
