SinoPlaSan BIO Astragalus Root Powder is a food supplement made from 100% naturally pure astragalus root powder (Astragalus membranaceus) from certified organic cultivation.

Astragalus, also known as tragacanth or goat’s thorn, is one of the 10 most important plants in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The roots, in particular, have been used traditionally for centuries.

Astragalus is native to the Chinese border region with Mongolia. However, the plant family is well known to us: astragalus – like the pea – belongs to the legume family. This herbaceous plant comprises around 2,000 different species. The most important species of Astragalus that we use is called Astragalus membranaceus. Visually, Astragalus can be recognised by its multicoloured, paired papilionaceous flowers; here, only the valuable root tuber is used. After harvesting, it is dried and then ground into a powder using a gentle process. The raw food product produced in this way is suitable both as an ingredient in smoothies and for sprinkling over dishes. The flavour is reminiscent of asparagus tips or nut powder.

Stir up to 8 measuring spoons daily into cold liquids or food. Take the product on an empty stomach or with a meal. You can take the product at any time of day.
