SinoPlaSan Astaxanthin drops are a dietary supplement with MCT oil from the blood rain algae (Haemotococcus pluvialis). Astaxanthin is a well-known antioxidant.

Astaxanthin is a natural substance, belongs to the carotenoid category and, like all substances in this group, has a reddish colour. Astaxanthin is extracted from the freshwater algae Haematococcus pluvialis. The red pigment is mainly found in green algae and plankton, but some bacteria, fungi and plant species also produce it. Animals that eat these carriers acquire their reddish colour as a result. Well-known examples of this are flamingos, salmon, crabs, lobsters and other crustaceans. Incidentally, wild salmon have the highest astaxanthin concentration in the world after Haematococcus pluvialis algae.

Haematococcus pluvialis algae are no longer harvested from the waters in which they naturally occur. They are cultivated in special, closed systems. This method of cultivating the algae is not only sustainable, but also ensures that the algae is free of harmful substances and heavy metals. The astaxanthin in our product is extracted from the algae without the use of chemicals.

Astaxanthin is a known antioxidant. It can therefore slow down or prevent the oxidation of other substances. Antioxidants protect the body from so-called free radicals. These are caused by harmful external influences such as cigarette smoke, UV radiation, environmental toxins or the sun. The antioxidant effect of astaxanthin is remarkable. Its effectiveness is due to the shape and length of its molecule and its solubility in water and fats. Unlike many powerful antioxidants (vitamin E, β-carotene, zeaxanthin, etc.), which can become pro-oxidants under certain circumstances, astaxanthin does not turn into a pro-oxidant. Pro-oxidants even increase oxidative stress. Astaxanthin can scavenge several - up to 19 - free radicals at once. Most other antioxidants can only scavenge 1 free radical. These properties distinguish astaxanthin from most antioxidants.

How to use

Take 1 x 11 drops (0.33 ml) daily on an empty stomach or with a meal. You can take the product at any time of the day.
