Application
- The head of the etching stick is first moistened with water. The aim is to bring the liquid enriched with silver nitrate into the application area. The stick is rolled evenly several times on the desired area, no pressure should be applied. The treated area becomes discoloured and is then shed from the surrounding tissue over a few days.
- It can take up to 24 hours for discolouration to occur.
- Notes: With the exception of wart removal, the silver nitrate etching stick should be used by specialised personnel.
