Seresto® 1.25 g + 0.56 g collar for cats, 1 ST

The Seresto® collar for cats is a veterinary medicine for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) with a duration of action of 7 to 8 months. An innovative collar against ticks, fleas, flea larvae and hair lice.

Fields of application

• For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) with a duration of action of 7 to 8 months.
• The veterinary medicinal product prevents the development of flea larvae in the immediate vicinity of the animal for 10 weeks.
• The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of the treatment strategy for allergic skin inflammation caused by flea bites (flea allergy dermatitis, FAD).

The veterinary medicinal product has a sustained acaricidal (killing) effect against tick infestations with Ixodes ricinus (wood tick) and Rhipicephalus turanicus (shield tick) and repellent (anti-feeding = preventing blood meal) effect against tick infestations with Ixodes ricinus, with a duration of action of 8 months. The veterinary medicinal product is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks. It is possible that ticks already present on the cat at the time of treatment will not be killed within the first 48 hours of the collar being applied and will remain attached and visible. Therefore, ticks that are already on the cat at the time of treatment should be removed. Protection against infestation with new ticks begins within two days of applying the collar.

How to use

• Mode of action: Constantly low quantities of both active ingredients are released from the collar to the skin surface and remain there exclusively. The distribution of the active ingredients is supported by skin-compatible, neutral oils.
• Application safety: 2-stage safety lock on the collar for small dogs and on the collar for cats
• Contraindications: Do not use on puppies less than 7 weeks old and cats less than 10 weeks old.
