Spermidine is a naturally occurring organic compound that belongs to the group of polyamines. It plays an important role in various biological processes, including mitochondrial function and the removal of old cell components. Spermidine is produced in the body, particularly in the cells and by certain intestinal bacteria, as well as ingested with food.
