Frederic Spitzwegerich is known to everyone in his family as a dreamer. Day in, day out, he longingly watches the clouds in the sky above the nearby herb meadow. Frederic imagines in the most beautiful colours how wonderful it must be to marvel at the world from high above. One day, a bee buzzes past him. When it realises how sad Frederic is, it asks what is wrong with him. Frederic plucks up all his courage and tells the bee about his big dream of flying.
