Application
- Before applying the dressing, an existing wound must be cleaned/debrided and covered with a wound dressing according to the wound status.
- The wrapping technique should be agreed with the attending physician.
- It is recommended that the dressing is applied in the morning before getting up or after prolonged elevation of the leg/arm and that the patient is then encouraged to perform walking exercises/arm movements.
- The bandage width should correspond to the diameter of the body part to be bandaged.
- To maximise joint movement, it is recommended that the bandage is applied to the foot at a right angle (90°).
- The bandage must be applied in such a way that the pressure of the bandage decreases from the foot to the knee and, if necessary, to the gluteal fold.
- The rolled-up part of the bandage (bandage head) points outwards. The bandage head should be kept close to the leg/arm.
- Rosidal® SC - apply the soft compression bandage with 50% overlap (C1-C3).
- Notes: Washable 50 times at max. 95° C.
