Dosage form
- Wound dressing sterile
- Wound dressing size: 8 x 8 cm
- Wound dressing size: 3.5 x 3.5 cm
Application
- Clean the wound with physiological saline solution or according to the doctor's instructions.
- Select the absorbent dressing according to the size of the wound so that the centre absorbent dressing overlaps the edges of the wound by approx. 1-2 cm. Do not cut the green absorbent dressing to size. The transparent edge can be cut to fit the absorbent dressing to an inwardly curved body part, for example.
- After rinsing the wound and before applying the absorbent dressing, ensure that the surrounding skin is dabbed dry so that the absorbent dressing adheres.
- Remove both protective films. Place the absorbent dressing with the adhesive side on the wound so that the green side is facing away from the wound.
- Press down firmly on the adhesive edges, avoiding folds at the edges, to ensure that the absorbent dressing is securely in place.
- No additional fixation is required. If indicated, compression bandages can be applied in accordance with the doctor's instructions.
- The absorbent dressing can remain on the wound for up to 5 days, depending on the condition of the wound and the applicable clinical protocol.
- The dressing must be changed when clinically indicated or when exudate reaches the edge of the absorbent dressing.
Ingredients
RespoSorb Silicone Border has a semi-permeable polyurethane film on the outside of the dressing and a perforated silicone film on the side facing the wound. Between these two layers is an absorbent pad. These layers are held together by acrylic adhesive. The film of the dressing carrier is air-permeable but waterproof so that patients can shower. The perforated silicone film on the side facing the wound makes it easy to apply the absorbent dressing and prevents it from sticking to the wound. The absorbent dressing is made of cellulose and superabsorbent polyacrylate to absorb and bind exudate and is covered with hydrophilic cellulose fabric. It is covered with a hydrophobic green fleece (100 % polypropylene). The green side is always the side facing away from the wound. On the other side, the product is covered with a very soft, white, hydrophilic fleece (viscose and polyamide).
