Rennie® Antacid Spearmint lozenges, 36 ST

Rennie® Antacidum Spearmint lozenges can be taken to relieve discomfort caused by excess stomach acid (e.g. heartburn). They neutralise stomach acid and thus counteract hyperacidity of the stomach.

Excess stomach acid can be caused by a stressful everyday life, but also by eating too heavy and too fatty foods and by excessive consumption of alcohol, coffee and nicotine. Too much stomach acid can irritate the stomach lining and cause symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, a sour taste in the mouth and reflux (the rising of stomach acid through the oesophagus).

Rennie® Antacidum Spearmint is sugar-free and therefore suitable for diabetics.

How to use

Dosage and use of Rennie® Antacidum Spearmint:

• Suck 1 or 2 lozenges one hour after main meals or at bedtime.
• If you already have acute symptoms, you can also take 1 or 2 lozenges immediately.
• However, you should not take more than 11 lozenges per day.
• Use in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.

Duration of use: The duration of treatment depends on the type, severity and course of the illness. If the symptoms persist for longer than 2 weeks during treatment, a doctor should be consulted to rule out a more serious illness.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate. 1 lozenge contains 680 mg calcium carbonate (corresponding to 272 mg calcium) and 80 mg magnesium carbonate.
• The other ingredients are Sorbitol, pregelatinised starch, potato starch, talc, magnesium stearate, paraffin oil, mint flavouring, saccharin sodium.
