Product information "Renavit® capsules"
Renavit® capsules are a foodstuff for special medical purposes (balanced diet) intended for dietary management in dialysis patients.
Around 10 per cent of the Austrian population – equivalent to approximately 800,000 people – develop kidney dysfunction at some point in their lives. In such cases, an adapted diet is essential, as it can slow down or halt the progression of this kidney dysfunction. A low-potassium diet is often recommended. However, this can impair the absorption of water-soluble B vitamins. Renavit® is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) for dietary management in dialysis patients with a nutrition-related and/or dialysis-related deficiency of water-soluble vitamins and/or elevated homocysteine levels. It contains all the recommended water-soluble B vitamins, lowers homocysteine levels and optimises EPO utilisation. Renavit® does not contain any fat-soluble vitamins. This eliminates the risk of toxic accumulation.

Directions for use
- Adults: Take 1 capsule once daily with liquid.
- Notes: Use only under medical supervision. Not suitable as the sole source of nutrition.
Ingredients
- Ingredients: Ascorbic acid; gelatine*; bulking agent: mannitol**; nicotinamide, pyridoxine HCl, calcium pantothenate, thiamine HCl; Anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids; riboflavin-5-sodium phosphate, folic acid, biotin, cyanocobalamin. *Capsule shell. **May have a laxative effect if consumed in excess!
