REGAINE® Women 2% solution is an over-the-counter medicine containing the active ingredient minoxidil. It has been specially developed to treat hereditary hair loss in women.

Regaine Women’s Solution stabilises the progression of female-pattern androgenetic alopecia in women (characteristic, genetically determined diffuse thinning of the hair at the crown). Treatment with Regaine Women promotes hair growth and can thus counteract the progression of this hair loss.

Directions for use

Regaine is intended for external use on the dry scalp. Please apply Regaine only to healthy, unbroken skin on the scalp and follow the instructions for use below carefully. Do not apply Regaine to any part of the body other than the scalp.

The recommended dose is:

• In the morning and in the evening, apply 1 ml of Regaine to the thinning or bald patches on the scalp. Regaine spreads very easily – 1 ml is sufficient even for large areas. Do not use more than a total of 2 ml of solution per day.
• Apply the solution by gently rubbing it in, starting from the centre of the affected areas. Your scalp and hair must be completely dry. After application, please wash your hands to ensure that the medicine does not accidentally come into contact with your eyes or mucous membranes.
• If you use Regaine regularly twice a day, you will see new hair growth after about four months. Hair loss is halted even sooner.

Each pack contains two different applicators (certified medical devices).

Pump spray applicator:

This allows you to apply Regaine to larger bald patches.

1. Unscrew the screw cap from the bottle.
2. Fit the spray applicator onto the bottle and screw it on tightly. Remove the small cap.
3. To dispense a 1 ml dose, you must press the pump six times. After each pump, spread the liquid over the bald area using your fingertips. Take care not to inhale the spray mist.
4. After use, replace the small cap on the spray applicator.

Pump spray applicator with extended tip:

This allows you to apply Regaine to small bald patches. It also enables you to reach the hair roots easily.

1. First, screw the pump spray applicator onto the bottle (see above).
2. Then remove the small spray head and firmly attach the extended tip in its place. Remove the small cap from the end of the tip.
3. To dispense a 1 ml dose, you must press the pump six times. After each pump, spread the liquid over the bald area using your fingertips. Take care not to inhale the spray vapours.
4. After use, replace the small cap on the tip.

Ingredients

• The active ingredient is minoxidil. 1 ml contains 20 mg of minoxidil.
• The other ingredients are ethanol, propylene glycol (E 1520) and purified water.
