Tea Tree Essential Oil is obtained by distilling the leaves, which gives it a strong, camphoraceous scent. Native to Australia, the tea tree is a large, evergreen, bushy shrub that was discovered by naturalists accompanying Cook on a voyage along the Endeavour River. They named it so because they used it as a substitute for tea and found it fragrant and invigorating.
