The particularly thin, bi-elastic short-stretch bandage for very strong compression

The short-stretch compression bandages are tightly woven. The bandages themselves are made of 100% cotton and are brown in colour. They have a non-cohesive coating. The active ingredient-free and non-sterile products are available in different widths and lengths. PütterFlex* are bi-elastic short-stretch bandages.

Properties

• Elasticity: approx. 90 % in the longitudinal direction, approx. 40 % in the transverse direction.
• Washable up to 15 times: Wash the bandages on a normal wash cycle at 95 °C and leave them to dry flat. The pads must not be bleached, tumble-dried or dry-cleaned.

Areas of application

The compression bandages are non-sterile medical devices intended for use on intact human skin (from a minimum age of 6 months) by healthcare professionals in clinical and domestic environments. The compression bandages can be used for compression therapy (decongestion phase) for the treatment of the following complaints (ankle-brachial pressure index (ABPI) 0.9-1.3):

• varicose veins (e.g. varicose veins during pregnancy, supportive in invasive varicose vein therapy)
• Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) with or without venous leg ulcers (UCV) (e.g. CVI according to CEAP classification C3-C6, primary and secondary prevention of venous leg ulcers, venous insufficiency and angiodysplasia)
• Thrombosis/thrombophlebitis (e.g. thrombophlebitis and treatment after healing thrombophlebitis, deep vein thrombosis of the leg and arm, treatment after deep vein thrombosis, post-thrombotic syndrome, thrombosis prophylaxis)
• Chronic oedema of other causes (e.g. oedema during pregnancy, post-traumatic oedema, endocrine oedema, lipoedema, stasis due to lack of exercise (arthrogenic congestion syndrome, paresis), drug-induced oedema [e.g. due to calcium antagonists]. e.g. due to calcium antagonists, isosorbide dinitrate, lithium ointment, sex hormones etc.])
• Lymphoedema

The products are also suitable for use as:

• Support or relief bandages for injuries to the musculoskeletal system

The compression bandages can also be used in combination with primary and secondary bandages. PütterFlex are reusable products.

Application

For very strong compression, after varicose vein sclerotherapy, for all acute and chronic venous stasis oedema, leg ulcers and thrombophlebitis.
