Dosage form
Application
- Cleaning and care of wounds and burns: Spray Prontosan® Wound Spray onto the entire wound and the area around the wound to clean and rinse. This reduces the risk of infection and creates optimum healing conditions. Then cover the wound with a plaster or bandage. Adhesive or encrusted dressings can be moistened with Prontosan® Wound Spray so that the dressing comes off easily and does not cause pain when removed.
- Transurethral catheters: Moisten a sterile compress well and clean the catheter entry port.
- PEG / PEJ probes and suprapubic catheters: To clean the entry port, spray sufficient Prontosan® Wound Spray onto the entry port. In case of incrustations, leave to act for at least 1 minute, then dry the skin area around the entry port by dabbing with sterile gauze and cover with sterile drapes.
- Stoma care: Moisten a sufficient number of sterile compresses well. Carefully clean the area of skin around the stoma and then dry. Then apply a new dressing. Residues of soaps, ointments, oils or other wound-cleansing substances must be completely removed before using Prontosan® Wound Spray.
