ProDry® vaginal tampons are ideal for use in cases of urinary incontinence. ProDry® supports the bladder neck, helping to restore the urethra’s natural closing function.
If you experience involuntary urine leakage when laughing heartily, during physical exertion such as lifting and carrying, or even when climbing stairs, coughing, sneezing or exercising, this is usually due to stress incontinence, the most common form of urinary incontinence (weak bladder) in women. Weak bladder can put a strain on everyday life and lead to a significant reduction in quality of life.
ProDry® – the small active protection pad that provides support in exactly the right place, preventing any leakage from occurring in the first place.
The ProDry active protection resembles a tampon in appearance and use, but has no absorbent function. Thanks to its elastic properties, ProDry exerts pressure on the front wall of the vagina. This supports the bladder neck and helps to restore the urethra’s natural closing function.
Just one small active protection pad is all it takes to be able to laugh carefree again, take part in sport and engage fully in life.

Directions for use
Before use, ProDry is softened in warm water and then inserted into the vagina in exactly the same way as a normal tampon. ProDry must only be used if there is a risk of uncontrolled urine leakage. ProDry is not designed to absorb urine. ProDry can remain in the vagina whilst passing urine as normal.
Inserting the ProDry® vaginal tampon:
- Please wash your hands thoroughly before removing ProDry from its packaging.
- Moisten ProDry in warm water or under running water and knead it until it is soft.
- Squeeze out the ProDry to remove any excess water.
- Make sure that the pull-out string is tied in a tight knot and that the knot is outside the body after insertion.
- To make insertion easier if the vagina is dry, you can apply a gel to the moistened ProDry to make it more slippery.
- Hold the labia apart with one hand. Take the ProDry in the other hand and insert it into the vagina with the rounded side leading.
- Just like a normal tampon, use your fingertips to push ProDry as far as possible into the vagina, at an angle towards the back and upwards. The end of the removal string with the knot must remain outside the body.
- There are very few nerves in the middle part of the vagina, so you will not feel ProDry if it is correctly positioned.
- If you experience any discomfort after insertion, you must use your fingertips to adjust ProDry to the correct position.
Removing the ProDry® vaginal tampons:
- Assume the same comfortable position as when inserting ProDry.
- Remove ProDry by pulling on the knot of the retrieval string. You can easily find the best direction to pull by trial and error.
- Place the used ProDry in a bag and put it in the bin. Do not flush it down the toilet.
- Wash your hands after you have removed and disposed of the ProDry.
