Pro-ophta® eye swabs are sterile swabs specially developed for ophthalmic procedures. With their high absorbency and gentle material properties, they ensure precise and safe eye surgery.
Specially developed for ophthalmic surgery, Pro-ophta swabs excel as surgical swabs thanks to their good capillary action and high absorption rate. Without compromising on the necessary strength, the swabs possess high absorbency. Pro-ophta swabs are cut at an angle at both ends. Their material makes them gentle on tissue: they are made of viscose non-woven fabric and have an absorbent cellulose covering. The use of Pro-ophta swabs has proven particularly effective in eyelid surgery (entropion and ectropion) and in eye muscle surgery for strabismus.
Owing to their properties, Pro-ophta swabs are successfully used in microsurgery.
