Cedar, also known as Atlas cedar, is a majestic evergreen coniferous tree originally from North Africa. The cedar can grow up to 40 metres high, its wood is hard and has a strong scent. Cedar was already used by the Egyptians for embalming, cosmetic purposes and as a fragrance and incense. In naturopathy, cedar is used for skin and scalp problems, muscle and joint pain and respiratory problems.
