Active ingredients

Doxosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) belong to the group of omega-3 fatty acids. These are among the unsaturated fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are essential, i.e. vital, substances that cannot be produced by the body itself. We must therefore obtain them from our diet. They are an important component of all cell membranes, in particular the nerve tissue and the retina of the eye.

Several studies have shown that there is a positive correlation between a sufficient intake of these polyunsaturated fatty acids during pregnancy and the development of the child - especially the brain and eyes*.

Omega-3 fatty acids are mainly found in oily sea fish such as herring, mackerel and salmon. However, as the consumption of several portions of sea fish per week is not guaranteed, supplementation is advisable.

Leading professional organisations recommend that pregnant and breastfeeding women take an additional 200 mg of DHA per day.

*The positive effect is only achieved during pregnancy/breastfeeding if 200 mg DHA is taken daily in addition to the daily dose of omega-3 fatty acids recommended for adults (i.e. 250 mg DHA and/or EPA).

How to use

Take 1 tablet and 1 capsule daily unchewed with a little liquid, preferably water.Use is recommended from the 13th week of pregnancy.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements are not a substitute for avaried diet. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.

Ingredients

Tablets: Calcium phosphate, filler microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium oxide, L-ascorbic acid(vitamin C), iron fumarate, beta-carotene (vitamin A), DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), polyphenol-containing grape seed extract (95%). Grape seed extract (95% polyphenols; 2%), nicotinamide (niacin), coating agent hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, calcium D-pantothenate (pantothenic acid), anti-caking agent fatty acids, zinc oxide, anti-caking agent magnesium salts of fatty acids, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), anti-caking agent silicon dioxide, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), colouring agent titanium dioxide, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), manganese carbonate , copper sulphate, stabiliser ethylcellulose, (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid glucosamine salt (folate Quatrefolic®*), colour iron oxide, potassium iodide, D-biotin (biotin).

Capsules: Fish oil, bovine gelatine, firming agent glycerol, D-a-tocopherol (vitamin E).
