Pharma Nord’s D-Pearls Phyto Vitamin D3 are small, soft, plant-based capsules, each containing 38 μg of vitamin D3. The vitamin D secreted by the algae is dissolved in cold-pressed olive oil to improve absorption.

The size of the capsules makes them easy to swallow, but they can also be chewed. The vegetable capsule is coloured with defatted cocoa powder. Studies have shown that D-Pearls are well absorbed.
Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) used to be available to vegetarians and vegans from plants and yeast, but research (Shieh A, et al. 2016) has shown that vitamin D3 raises vitamin D levels in the body more effectively than D2.
The vitamin D in D-Pearls Phyto Vitamin D3 is derived from algae. The algae used are cultivated under controlled conditions, are approved for use in foodstuffs and are commonly used in food products worldwide. However, D-Pearls Phyto Vitamin D3 does not contain any parts of the algae itself; rather, the algae secretes purified vitamin D3. There is no difference between vitamin D3 from algae and vitamin D3 from lanolin. They are chemically identical.

Directions for use
For adults and adolescents aged 12 and over, take 1 capsule daily with any meal and plenty of liquid. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
