It consists of soft gelatine capsules with purified soya bean oil and natural d-alpha-tocopherol. Each capsule contains 290 mg/430 IU vitamin E. As with other fat-soluble vitamins, vitamin E should be taken with a meal.

The vitamin E capsules from Pharma Nord contain vitamin E in the form of rrr-alpha-tocopherol, which has the highest biological activity of all isomers of alpha-tocopherol. It is considered to be the natural form of alpha-tocopherol that occurs in nature and can be most effectively absorbed and utilised by the body. Other isomers of alpha-tocopherol, such as the synthetic dl-alpha-tocopherol, have less biological activity and may even be less effective than rrr-alpha-tocopherol. It is therefore important to favour natural sources of vitamin E to maintain maximum biological activity.
