Peptamen® Junior Advance tube feed is a fully balanced, peptide-based diet for children. It is suitable for the dietary treatment of malassimilation and increased energy requirements.

High-calorie, low-molecular-weight tube feed (oligopeptide diet) for digestive and absorption disorders. Food for special medical purposes (balanced diet). For diet management in case of existing malnutrition or risk of malnutrition. Suitable from 1 year of age

Indications

For diet management in the case of existing malnutrition or risk of malnutrition and/or in the case of

• Malassimilation syndrome (e.g. short bowel syndrome, radiation and cytostatic damage, chronic inflammatory bowel disease)
• Fat utilisation disorders (e.g. acute/chronic pancreatitis)
• Cystic fibrosis
• Fluid restriction, e.g. in renal and cardiac insufficiency

• Fat: Medium-chain triglycerides, nutritionally valuable vegetable oils (soya and rapeseed oil) and fish oil
• Carbohydrates: The main component is maltodextrin
• Protein: 100% high-quality hydrolysed whey protein
• Dietary fibre: 100% soluble dietary fibre (fructooligosaccharides and inulin)

Directions for use

• 500 - 1,500 ml depending on the child's requirements or as directed by a doctor.
• Important note: Use under medical supervision. Suitable for children from 1 year of age. Suitable as the sole source of nutrition. Do not mix with other food or medicines. The use of a feeding pump is recommended for the most even administration possible. Not suitable for parenteral use.
• Contraindication: Cow's milk protein allergy.
  
• Storage: Store unopened in a cool, dry place. Shake well before use. When using the spike or universal adapter, apply within 24 hours. Reseal the opened bottle, store in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours.
