The Orthovisc® mini 15 mg/ml pre-filled syringe is a medical device indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, specifically for smaller joints, such as: hand and finger joints, the thumb saddle joint (rhizarthrosis), foot and toe joints, etc.

ORTHOVISC® mini is an effective hyaluronic acid therapy developed specifically for the treatment of smaller joints. It provides targeted pain relief and helps to improve joint mobility in cases of degenerative and traumatic joint disorders.

Indications for ORTHOVISC® mini

Hand and finger joints:

• Osteoarthritis of the wrist joints (wrist osteoarthritis).
• Osteoarthritis of the finger joints (Heberden’s and Bouchard’s nodes)
• Treatment of degenerative changes in the small joints of the hand and fingers.

Thumb saddle joint (rhizarthrosis):

• Osteoarthritis of the thumb saddle joint, known as rhizarthrosis.
• Pain relief and improvement in the thumb’s grip strength and range of motion.

Foot and toe joints:

• Osteoarthritis of the foot joints (tarsal osteoarthritis).
• Osteoarthritis of the toe joints (e.g. in hallux rigidus).
• Treatment of pain and restricted movement in the small joints of the foot and toes.

Metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe (hallux rigidus):

• Osteoarthritis of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe, known as hallux rigidus.
• Improvement in mobility and reduction of pain in the big toe joint.

Elbow joint:

• Osteoarthritis of the elbow joint (cubital osteoarthritis).
• Treatment of pain and restricted movement caused by degenerative or post-traumatic changes.

Shoulder joint:

• Osteoarthritis of the shoulder joint (omarthrosis).
• Relief of pain and improvement in mobility in degenerative conditions of the shoulder joint.

Temporomandibular joint:

• Osteoarthritis of the temporomandibular joint.
• Treatment of pain and restricted jaw movement caused by degenerative changes.
