Omni-Sorb® 5% NaCl eye drops are a medical device for the treatment of corneal oedema. The solution removes excess fluid from the cornea, relieves swelling and improves vision. Ideal for post-operative or disease-related oedema.
Omni-Sorb® is a sterile saline solution specially developed for ophthalmology, which removes excess fluid from the "swollen" cornea and thus leads to an improvement in vision. Omni-Sorb® is used due to its pronounced de-swelling properties, e.g. after operations such as cataracts. Omni-Sorb® is used after operations such as cataract surgery and corneal transplants or diagnostic eye procedures such as gonioscopy, funduscopy or biomicroscopy.
Areas of application
- For the physical-osmotic treatment of corneal swelling or fluid retention of any origin. To de-swell the cornea and restore the corneal osmotic balance.
Dosage form
Eye drops
How to use
- Apply one drop of Omni-Sorb® 3-5 times a day into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. Your ophthalmologist should determine the frequency and duration of use.
- Method of application: Wash your hands thoroughly before using Omni-Sorb®. Remove the cap from the vial. Tilt your head back and pull the lower eyelid downwards so that it forms a small pocket. Hold the vial as vertically as possible, with the opening facing downwards, over the eye. Press lightly on the vial and allow a drop to fall into the conjunctival sac without touching the eye with the dropper tip. Close the vial. Be careful not to touch anything with the dropper tip (not even your fingers).
