Ocufolin® forte capsules for dietary management of vitamin B metabolism disorders in people over 40 with impaired microcirculation associated with degenerative eye diseases and the resulting elevated homocysteine levels.
The specific combination of nutrients in Ocufolin® forte reducesdisease-related elevated homocysteine levels in patients with chronic eye conditions associated with reduced microcirculation.
Ocufolin® forte has been developed for older people with degenerative eye diseases (age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy) and correspondingly impaired microcirculation. If a disease-related metabolic disorder is present and identified, it should be addressed immediately under professional supervision. A disturbance in B-vitamin metabolism, particularly that of L-methylfolate, is indicated by an elevated homocysteine level. It is therefore recommended that this biomarker be measured in the blood.
Ocufolin® forte specifically supplies those nutrients that are insufficiently absorbed in eye conditions such as AMD (age-related macular degeneration) and DR (diabetic retinopathy). This food for special medical purposes helps maintain the supply of nutrients and meets the increased requirement for micronutrients caused by the condition.

Directions for use
Take one capsule once daily with a little liquid, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor . Ocufolin® forte is suitable for dietary management of disorders of vitamin B metabolism resulting in elevated homocysteine levels and, consequently, impaired microcirculation in eye conditions. Continuous use is recommendedto meet the significantly increased nutritional requirements . There is no limit to the duration of use.

- Must not betaken during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding , as there is no data available on its use in these circumstances.
- Keep out of the reach of children . Do not useon children .
- Store in acool, dry place, protected from light , and at a temperaturenot exceeding 25°C.
- Note for diabetics: 1 capsule contains 0.02 BE (2 BE per 100 g).
