Ticks are parasites that feed on human or animal blood and can transmit dangerous diseases.
The tick's mouthparts are completely covered with small hooks with which the tick anchors itself in the skin. When the tick is pulled upwards, these hooks unfold and clamp the mouth parts firmly into the skin. This can result in the tick's mouthparts being torn off, which in turn can lead to pain and infection. However, when the tick is turned, the hooks fold in towards the axis of rotation. This makes the tick easier to remove and reduces the risk of parts of the mouthparts remaining in the skin.

Application:
1. select the appropriate hook depending on the size of the tick
2. engage the hook by approaching the tick sideways until it is held in place by the hook.
3. lift the hook slightly and turn it. The tick will come off after 2 to 3 turns.
