Nutricia Milupa MSUD 2 SECUNDA powder is a food for special medical purposes (formula diet). For dietary management in children aged 9 years and over and adolescents with disorders of the metabolism of branched-chain amino acids (e.g. maple syrup urine disease).
An amino acid mixture free from isoleucine, leucine and valine, fortified as required with vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Directions for use
- A diet incorporating this product requires an additional intake of energy, essential fatty acids, isoleucine, leucine and valine, tailored to the patient’s needs.
- The total daily amount depends on the patient’s age, body weight and individual metabolic status. It is adjusted to reflect the patient’s current metabolic status under regular medical supervision.
- The daily amount is divided into 3–5 individual doses and consumed together with calculated amounts of other foods (e.g. drinks, fruit purée).
- Notes: Use only under medical supervision. For children aged 9 years and over and adolescents with disorders of branched-chain amino acid metabolism (e.g. maple syrup urine disease). Not suitable as the sole source of nutrition. Suitable for enteral nutrition only.
