Nutricia Milupa MSUD 1 powder is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet). It is used for diet management in infants in the 1st year of life with disorders in the metabolism of branched-chain amino acids (e.g. maple syrup disease).
An isoleucine-, leucine- and valine-free amino acid mixture with carbohydrates, enriched with vitamins, minerals and trace elements as required.

Application
- The diet requires a needs-based supply of energy, isoleucine, leucine, valine and fluid.
- The total daily amount depends on the patient's age, body weight and individual metabolic situation. It is adjusted to the current metabolic situation under regular medical supervision.
- The daily amount is divided into several individual doses and consumed together with calculated amounts of other foods (e.g. bottle feeds, complementary foods).
- In combination with a protein-free special formula (e.g. Milupa basic-p), an isoleucine-, leucine- and valine-free special bottle feed can easily be produced.
- Notes: Only use under medical supervision. For infants in the 1st year of life with disorders in the metabolism of branched-chain amino acids (e.g. maple syrup disease). Not suitable for exclusive nutrition. Only suitable for enteral nutrition
