Novalac Total Comfort + for infants and young children from birth to 36 months of age for the treatment of digestive problems such as spitting up, abdominal pain and flatulence, constipation or hard stools in infants.
Novalac Total Comfort + is a food for special medical purposes for the treatment of various digestive problems in infants. Novalac Total Comfort + is a thickened milk formula for infants with regurgitation and gastro-oesophageal reflux problems, it also relieves abdominal pain, flatulence due to lactose intolerance, as well as constipation or hard stools.
Novalac Total Comfort + is a unique thickening mixture with an innovative three-component thickening agent that enables optimal thickening of the milk formula in the stomach. It contains dietary fibre and has better gelling properties than other conventional thickeners due to its increased viscosity at a neutral pH value. The effect of the three-component thickener leads to less spitting up in infants and balanced digestion.
Novalac Total Comfort + has a reduced lactose content and thus reduces colic. It also contains the lactic acid bacteria Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, Bifidobacterium lactis, Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus paracasei.
Novalac Total Comfort + covers all the nutritional requirements of a baby up to 6 months and can be used as the sole food. After the 6th month of life, the milk formula can be continued as part of a varied diet.
Novalac Total Comfort + is part of the comprehensive Novalac product family, which is specially tailored to babies with carefully selected and quality-controlled ingredients.

How to use
One level measuring spoon, which is enclosed, contains 4.3 g Novalac Total Comfort +. Dissolve one measuring spoon in 30 ml of water. Adjust the daily amount of food and the number of meals to the age and needs of your baby. Unless your paediatrician recommends otherwise, follow the recommendations in the table.
Instructions for use:
Wash your hands thoroughly before each preparation!
- Clean the baby bottle and cap with teat and sterilise in boiling water for at least 5 minutes.
- Bring fresh water for preparing the meal to the boil in a covered pan and simmer for at least 5 minutes.
- Allow the water to cool to 40 °C and pour into the baby bottle.
- Pour the specified number of scoops into the baby bottle using the measuring spoon provided.
- Close the baby bottle and shake vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved.
- Allow the prepared meal to cool to 37 °C (lukewarm) or test it on the inside of your wrist until you feel it is neither warm nor cold.
Additional tip for preparing the formula: It is recommended to shake the bottle vigorously up and down immediately after adding the powder to the water and, if necessary, to swirl it until the powder is completely dissolved. It is also advisable to use a bottle that is large enough so that the contents can be shaken thoroughly. Parents can prepare the first half and then the second half as required: First add half the amount of powder to the total amount of well-heated water and shake the bottle, then add the remaining powder, close the bottle and shake again. Speed in preparation is important so that you do not wait and leave the prepared formula to stand. This can help prevent lumps and hardening.
Warnings: Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. Novalac formula should only be used on the recommendation of experts in the field of medicine, pharmacy, nutrition or other experts who care for mother and child. Special care should be taken when using Novalac formula in the case of cow's milk protein allergy, premature babies, newborns with low birth weight or weakened immune response. Improper preparation or storage can pose a health risk. When bottle-feeding, make sure that the contact between the milk and your baby's teeth is not too long or too frequent, as this increases the risk of tooth decay. Always brush your child's teeth after the last evening meal. Prepare each meal fresh. Store in a dry, cool place away from light. The product can be used at least until the expiry date (printed on the bottom of the tin). The contents of the tin must be used within three weeks of first opening. Close the can tightly after each use. Do not reuse the leftover food, but dispose of it.
