Novalac PRE, 400 G

Novalac PRE is a food for the special nutrition of newborn babies from birth to 6 months of age. Unlike formula labelled 1, Novalac PRE contains lactose as the only carbohydrate. As a result, this formula is most similar to breast milk and can be given or fed to the baby as required (ad libitum).

Novalac PRE, whose composition provides the baby with all the necessary ingredients for healthy development and growth in the first stage of life, also contains:

• Galactooligosaccharides (GOS)
• nucleotides
• LCP (omega-3 and -6 fatty acids)

GOS are proven to help strengthen the baby's immune system, LCP or omega-3 and -6 fatty acids influence the development of the brain and visual functions, nucleotides also have a positive influence on the developing immune system.

Novalac PRE satisfies all the nutritional requirements of babies up to 6 months of age, as it contains all the proteins, fats, carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins and minerals that a baby needs. When the baby reaches the age of 6 months, we recommend switching to Novalac 2 infant formula.

Special instructions

Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. If you wish to use infant formula, please consult your paediatrician. Special attention is necessary in case of cow's milk protein allergy, premature birth, newborns with low birth weight or weakened immune system.

Directions for use

One level measuring spoon enclosed contains 4.3 g Novalac PRE. Dissolve one measuring spoon in 30 ml of water.

Preparation of Novalac

1. WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY BEFORE PREPARATION.
2. Clean the bottle and dummy and sterilise in boiling water for 5 minutes.
3. Boil fresh tap water for 5 minutes.
4. Cool the water to 40 °C and pour into the bottle.
5. Add the required number of measuring spoons.
6. Close the baby bottle with the plastic lid and shake until the powder is completely dissolved in the water.
7. Check the temperature (37 °C) on the inside of the wrist.
