Novalac IT Special Milk Formula, 400 G

Novalac IT infant formula is suitable for babies with engorgement who are not breastfed, from birth to 12 months of age. It satisfies all the baby's nutritional needs up to 6 months of age. For babies after 6 months of age, it is part of a mixed diet.

Constipation or constipation

• Constipation is a common digestive complaint in babies, characterised by irregular and painful bowel movements. In infants, constipation is said to occur with a bowel movement 2×/week or less. The stool is harder, making elimination more difficult.

For babies with constipation, the use of the special Novalac IT infant formula is recommended.

Novalac IT is the only infant formula with an increased lactose content for easier bowel movements and the prevention of constipation in babies. Novalac IT also has an increased magnesium content, which attracts water, thus softening the stool and increasing the volume of the stool, while at the same time influencing bowel movements and thus enabling more frequent and easier bowel movements.

Increased lactose content has two functions: osmotic, laxative effect (water is attracted into the large intestine and thus softens the stool), probiotic effect (supplies the bifidobacteria with food, thus accelerating their multiplication and increasing the volume of the stool). The lactose in the large intestine ferments into lactic acid, which increases peristalsis.

Novalac IT fulfils all the baby's nutritional needs: it is enriched with iron, has an optimal fat and protein content and ensures the supply of all important amino acids, minerals and vitamins.

Novalac IT belongs to a comprehensive product group that has been specially developed to meet the nutritional requirements of babies with carefully selected ingredients and controlled quality. After the age of 12 months, we recommend switching to Novalac 3 follow-on milk.

Special tips

Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. If you wish to use formula, please speak to your paediatrician. Special attention is necessary in case of cow's milk protein allergy, premature birth, newborns with low birth weight or weakened immune system.

Directions for use

One level measuring spoon enclosed contains 4.3 g Novalac IT. Dissolve one measuring spoon in 30 ml of water.

Preparation of Novalac

1. WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY BEFORE PREPARATION.
2. Clean the bottle and dummy and sterilise in boiling water for 5 minutes.
3. Boil fresh tap water for 5 minutes.
4. Cool the water to 40 °C and pour into the bottle.
5. Add the required number of measuring spoons.
6. Close the baby bottle with the plastic lid and shake until the powder is completely dissolved in the water.
7. Check the temperature (37 °C) on the inside of the wrist.
