Severe form of cow's milk protein allergy

Sometimes the allergy becomes so severe that the symptoms persist despite the introduction of extensive hydrolysate (e.g. Novalac Allernova AR), which is why a diet based on free amino acids* (e.g. Novalac Aminova) must be introduced. Fortunately, in practice only 10% of such allergies occur.

The use of an amino acid-based diet is also useful in the case of multiple food allergies, severe allergic intestinal inflammation, anaphylactic shock or - if the allergy persists in a breastfed baby, even after the mother has introduced a dairy-free diet.

As one of the most common allergy symptoms is burping and spitting up, it makes sense to do something about this complaint at the same time. This improves the baby's nutritional status and promotes its growth and development.

Novalac Aminova is a hypoallergenic food with free amino acids that also contains an innovative thickening agent. It was developed for babies and toddlers with a severe form of cow's milk protein allergy or with an allergy to various types of food.

Directions for use

One level measuring spoon enclosed contains 4.3 g Novalac Aminova. Dissolve one measuring spoon in 30 ml of water.

Preparation of Novalac

1. WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY BEFORE PREPARATION.
2. Clean the bottle and dummy and sterilise in boiling water for 5 minutes.
3. Boil fresh tap water for 5 minutes.
4. Cool the water to 40 °C and pour into the bottle.
5. Add the required number of measuring spoons.
6. Close the baby bottle with the plastic lid and shake until the powder is completely dissolved in the water.
7. Check the temperature (37 °C) on the inside of the wrist.
