NimmNem Astaxanthin capsules are a dietary supplement containing 6 mg of astaxanthin per capsule. Astaxanthin is a carotenoid produced by the algae Haematococcus pluvialis. Like almost all algae, Haematococcus pluvialis is green. It is only in stressful situations that it produces astaxanthin as a protective substance against oxidative stress.
Our product consists of whole-algae powder, in the form of dried algae cells. This provides the best protection against the oxidation of astaxanthin. Consequently, there is no need to shield this extract from oxygen.
In nature, it is used by many animals to protect themselves against inflammation and excessive UV radiation. Flamingos, salmon and crabs are therefore red in colour; this red colour comes from astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin 6 mg, at this dosage, has a very beneficial effect on our skin and can support the natural tan produced by the sun.
Due to EU law, and in particular the ‘Health Claims Regulation’ (EC) No 1924/2006, we are not permitted to make any therapeutic claims or describe specific uses for this product.

Directions for use
- We recommend taking 1–3 capsules daily. It is best to take the capsule with a meal or approximately 2 hours after a meal, with sufficient liquid. The ideal amount of liquid to take with the capsules may vary from person to person. In any case, we recommend a large glass (250ml) of water. Do not take for more than 90 consecutive days.
- Notes: Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for children and adolescents.
