The intestinal mucosa is the largest mucous membrane in the human body. It forms the innermost of a total of four layers of the intestinal wall. The intestinal mucosa is responsible for the absorption of nutrients and water and for protection against unwanted intruders. No other tissue in our body has such a high rate of cell renewal as the intestine. As the mucosa cells are constantly being renewed, a regular supply of selected micronutrients should be ensured to maintain a normal mucosa.
Properties
- With beta-carotene, the precursor of vitamin A. Vitamin A supports the maintenance of normal mucous membranes
- Manganese, selenium, vitamin C, copper and zinc contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress
- Vitamin D and zinc have a function in cell division, vitamin A is important for cell specialisation
- Zinc, selenium, copper, vitamin B6, C and D contribute to the normal function of the immune system
- Vitamins C, B6 and pantothenic acid contribute to normal energy metabolism
- With decaffeinated green tea extract and an extract of true camomile (Matricaria chamomilla L.)
- Perfectly complemented by bioidentical L-glutamine
