NAXXID® chewable tablets, 30 ST

Naxxid® chewable tablets contain a mixture of different complementary substances that act together in the oesophagus and stomach.

Immediately after swallowing, Naxxid® turns into a viscous, light gel that glides along the mucous membrane of the burning oesophagus. As soon as Naxxid® reaches the stomach, it neutralises the stomach acid. This reaction creates small bubbles that form a stable layer on the gastric juice. This stable layer of foam prevents the backflow of irritating gastric juice into the sensitive oesophagus.

Reflux and the unpleasant heartburn are stopped.

The special formulation of Naxxid® ensures a quick and long-lasting effect.

In addition to heartburn, the preparations are also effective for all other acid-induced disorders (such as gastritis). The ingredients are not absorbed into the bloodstream. The risk of side effects is therefore extremely low.

What is heartburn and how does it occur?

Our stomach acid is responsible for ensuring that the food we eat can be digested. However, if this acid runs back from the stomach into our oesophagus, a burning pain in the chest area becomes noticeable. This discomfort is commonly known as heartburn. The symptoms can even occur in the larynx or throat if the reflux is severe.

• Caffeine, alcohol, nicotine
• Fatty, sweet or unhealthy food
• Stress, travelling and changes in lifestyle Medication
• Weakness of the sphincter muscle between the stomach and oesophagus
• Diaphragmatic hiatus

How to use

• Adults (from 12 years of age): It is recommended to take 2 chewable tablets after each main meal with a glass of water.
• Children (6-12 years): It is recommended to take 1 chewable tablet after each main meal with a glass of water.

These doses are effective in counteracting stomach acidity and preventing gastro-oesophageal reflux. Do not take more than the recommended dose.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains: Sodium alginate 200 mg, alginic acid 50 mg, sodium bicarbonate 80 mg, calcium carbonate 140 mg.

Excipients: mannitol, sucralose, silicon dioxide, panzliches magnesium stearate, glycerol behenate. Flavourings: ginger extract, ginger oil, lemon, mint.
