Indications
The pain-relieving and fever-reducing effects of paracetamol in humans depend on the dose administered. The oral dose depends on age and body weight (kg). The usual single dose is 10–15 mg/kg body weight; the maximum total daily dose is 60 mg/kg body weight. In all cases, the interval between doses should be determined by the symptoms and the maximum total daily dose. It must not be less than 4 hours.
The lowest dose required to achieve the desired effect should be used.
