The Metalline® dressing cloth from Lohmann & Rauscher is coated with aluminium and is used to absorb exudate, reduce wound adhesion and cover wounds.
Thermal injuries and large wounds require functional material for positioning and gentle treatment of the patient, especially in the case of open treatment. Metalline large versions provide therapeutic aids that can be used for various treatment measures - from first aid to the care of patients who are bedridden for long periods or permanently.
The special suitability of Metalline in this range of indications is also primarily due to the characteristics of the dressing material, such as a smooth and porous surface that is soft and pliable and enables atraumatic dressing changes.
The metallised nonwoven absorbs blood and wound exudate, which is drained away by the porous Metalline layer.
