- a water vapour permeable and water resistant outer film.
- Mepilex Ag is a highly conformable dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment.
- As Mepilex Ag maintains a moist wound environment, the wound may initially become larger during supportive debridement. This is normal and should be expected.

Directions for use
- Clean the wound with saline solution or water in accordance with medical standards.
- Dry the skin surrounding the wound thoroughly.
- Remove the protective film and apply the dressing with the adhesive side to the wound. Do not overstretch the dressing.
- For best results, Mepilex Ag should overlap the dry, wound-surrounding skin by at least 1 - 2 cm for smaller wounds (up to approx. 12.5 x 12.5 cm) and by 5 cm for larger wounds to protect the wound-surrounding skin from maceration and wound friction and to hold the dressing securely in place. If necessary, Mepilex Ag can be cut to the appropriate wound size.
- If necessary, Mepilex Ag can be fixed with a dressing.
- Mepilex Ag should be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
- Do not use in patients with a known hypersensitivity to silver.
- Physicians/healthcare professionals should note that there is very limited data available on long-term and repeated use of silver-containing dressings, particularly for children and neonates.
