Magnesiocard® 7.5 mmol effervescent tablets are used to treat magnesium deficiency states. These can, for example, be the cause of disorders of muscle activity (such as neuromuscular disorders, calf cramps).
A deficiency of the vital mineral magnesium can have many causes, such as unbalanced eating habits, an increased magnesium requirement(pregnancy, breastfeeding, etc.) or increased losses of magnesium, e.g. in diabetes mellitus or due to everyday stress. Due to the extensive functions of magnesium in the organism, a deficiency can become noticeable in "all corners and ends". Calf and toe cramps, tension in the neck, shoulder and back area, eyelid twitching, nervousness, inner restlessness, headaches and heart pain or premature labour during pregnancy are just the tip of the iceberg.
Based on scientific studies and clinical experience, Magnesiocard® is often used during pregnancy, for example. This is because pregnancy is often a classic magnesium deficiency situation, as not only the expectant mother but also the unborn child needs to be supplied with magnesium. In addition, magnesium is increasingly lost in the urine during pregnancy. A magnesium deficiency during pregnancy can not only lead to calf cramps, but also to premature labour.
Magnesiocard® is also used for heart problems caused by magnesium deficiency, for magnesium deficiency caused by diabetes mellitus (diabetes) and for hyperactive children who have a magnesium deficiency.

Directions for use
- Adolescents over 14 years:1 effervescent tablet 1-2 times daily (corresponding to 182.3-364.6 mg magnesium).
- Children aged 10-14 years: 1 effervescent tablet once a day (corresponding to 182.3 mg magnesium).
- Children aged 4-9 years should be given lower doses of Magnesiocard®.
Method of administration:
- Please dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water, tea or fruit juice and drink the contents of the glass completely.
- Magnesiocard® 7.5 mmol should be taken before meals, as this improves absorption from the gastrointestinal tract into the bloodstream.
Duration of use:
Magnesiocard® 7.5 mmol should be taken daily for at least 4 weeks. Long-term therapy with Magnesiocard® 7.5 mmol (over years) is also safe if kidney function is normal, as excess magnesium is excreted via the kidneys.
Ingredients
1 effervescent tablet contains 1844.4 mg magnesium aspartate hydrochloride 3 H2O, corresponding to 182.3 mg (= 7.5 mmol) magnesium.
