Highly absorbent MOMOSAN® White Wound Pads sterile in 24x16x1cm format. These Moltoplast wound dressings made of PU foam are allergy-neutral, can be cut to size and are ideal for modern wound care and pressure ulcer prevention.
What is MOMOSAN® White?
- Polyurethane foam with a microtubule-like structure which, thanks to its special cell formation, can absorb exudate quickly and drain it away secondarily, thus promoting a balanced wound environment.
- Excellent pressure prophylaxis for all wounds of any genesis with decubitus from grade I-IV.
- Can be used as a wound cleanser for soft, mechanical debridement.

MOMOSAN® - Mode of action
The mode of action is essentially based on 4 physical principles of the special cell structure:
- Reduction of the contact pressure

Application
- MOMOSAN® white is inserted into the wound until it is completely filled or closed.
- Ensure that MOMOSAN® is in contact everywhere in the wound, including the edges. Any pockets are also filled.
- MOMOSAN®-white can be combined with all gels and medications authorised for wound treatment.
- A secondarily applied absorbent layer of MOMOSAN® helps to safely absorb excess exudate.
- Microstimulation, caused by involuntary body movements (muscle reflexes etc.), stimulates blood circulation.
- The microtubule-like cell structure of MOMOSAN®-white and the capillarity of liquid with surface tension ensure that exudate is comprehensively absorbed by MOMOSAN®.
- Stimulation of the wound bed generally results in increased physiological exudation with a cleansing effect. The wound rebuilds itself from the inside out.
- A generous covering equalises the contact pressure around the wound and promotes faster healing. Fixation e.g. with nylon tights or a fixation bandage.
Summarising procedure:
- Wounds of any origin
- As a tamponade for deep wounds (fistulas)
- Large-area application over the wound edge for superficial wounds and ulcerations (e.g. ulcus cruris)
- Depending on the amount of exudate, combine with an absorbent secondary dressing - no secondary dressing required if the amount of exudate is low
- MOMOSAN® can be combined with medical compression therapy for ulcus cruris
- Can be perfectly combined with wound gels
- Cleaning with all wound irrigation solutions possible
- Dressing change 2-3 times a week
