MASTER-AID® STERIGRAP® Wound Suture Strips 32 x 8mm, 10 ST

Product information "MASTER-AID® STERIGRAP® Wound Suture Strips 32 x 8mm"

MASTER-AID® STERIGRAP® suture strips offer reliable protection and support for wound healing. Made from high-quality materials, they are gentle on the skin and promote rapid recovery.

Adhere wounds instead of stitching with STERIGRAP®

Wound suture strips - also known colloquially as staple plasters - are a very good and above all pain-free alternative to traditional surgical sutures for small, shallow and uncomplicated wounds. They are ideal for use on simple cuts to reliably close the wound edges and minimise scarring. The fact that the smooth edges of cuts are held together with the staple plasters and the wound does not open up again and again, even with movement, provides the best possible support for the healing process.

Better hold thanks to special shape

STERIGRAP® is a sterile wound suture strip made from a non-elastic polyester carrier material. They are characterised by their unique bone shape, which minimises direct wound contact of the strips and allows a good view of the wound. The enlarged adhesive surfaces on the edge of the adhesive plasters ensure the necessary hold and therefore secure wound closure. Reliable adhesion is also favoured by the rounded corners. Thanks to the skin-friendly and hypoallergenic hotmelt adhesive, STERIGRAP® wound suture strips are ideal for sensitive, irritated and allergic skin.

Advantages of wound suture strips compared to classic sutures:

  • Easy to use, even without specialised personnel
  • Minimal scarring
  • Low-pain wound care
  • No need to remove stitches after the wound has healed
  • Lower risk of infection
  • Sterile
  • Latex-free

A particular advantage of this method of wound closure is the reduced risk of wound infection, which can occur when suturing through the stitch channels. In addition to suture-free and low-pain wound closure, STERIGRAP® is also suitable for relieving pressure on sutures. Here, the wound closure strips help to prevent sudden wound openings in the healing stage. The strips can also be used to stabilise fresh scars.

Areas of application

  • For closing wound edges in cuts, lacerations and small lacerations on the head
  • For wound closure after surgical procedures, vein stripping or nevus removal
  • As relief and support for surgical sutures (thread or metal)
  • To prevent sudden wound openings
  • To stabilise fresh scars
  • Recommended for sensitive skin
