Lit-Control pH Up capsules are a foodstuff for special medical purposes (balanced diet). For dietary management of uric acid-related kidney stones.
For uric acid stones
- Increases the pH of the urine, thereby helping to normalise excessively acidic urine

Lit-Control® pH Up has been specially developed to raise the pH level of the urine (alkalise it) and reduce the formation of kidney stones, which can develop when the pH is too acidic (below 5.5).
The pH of the urine is a measure of its acidity and reflects the body’s diet and metabolic activity. Ideally, it should be between 5.5 and 6.2. Fluctuations in pH are associated with a higher risk of developing various types of kidney stones.
One cause of an excessively acidic urine pH is an unbalanced (excessively meat-heavy) diet or excessive alcohol consumption. This leads to a sharp increase in uric acid; the pH value in the urine falls below 5.5, resulting in the formation and deposition of uric acid crystals in the joints (gout) and kidneys (stones).
Active ingredients in dietary management
Lit-Control® pH Up consists of a combination of five different active ingredients: magnesium citrate, potassium citrate, theobromine, zinc and vitamin A.
- Citrates raise the pH of the urine, thereby dissolving uric acid stones that have already formed.
- Theobromine inhibits the formation of uric acid crystals and prolongs their crystallisation time.
- Zinc improves the body’s acid-base balance.
- Vitamin A protects the cell walls (urothelium) of the urinary tract.
No interactions with other medicines have been observed.

Directions for use
- It is recommended to take one capsule with breakfast and one with dinner, with a glass of water. The capsules can also be opened, stirred into yoghurt or fruit juice, and taken.
- Notes: Dietary management with Lit-Control pH Up should be carried out for at least 3 months; this helps to restore your urine’s pH level to the normal range, inhibits crystal growth and protects the cell walls of the kidneys.

- Active ingredients: Potassium citrate, magnesium citrate, dry extract of cocoa beans (Theobroma cacao, 40% theobromine), zinc gluconate, retinyl acetate (vitamin A).
- Other ingredients Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (coating agent E464), microcrystalline cellulose (stabiliser E460), silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent E551), calcium carbonate (colouring agent E170), sodium octenylsuccinate starch (coating agent E1450), magnesium stearate (stabiliser E470b).
