Lit-Control pH Balance capsules are a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet). For dietary management of calcium oxalate kidney stones.

For calcium oxalate stones, stones of unknown origin and for prophylaxis after kidney stone removal (surgery, ultrasound)

Maintains the physiological pH value of the urine, balances out pH value fluctuations
Prevents the formation of crystals and growth of kidney stones
Protects and regenerates the cell wall of the urinary tract

Lit-Control pH Balance has been specially developed to reduce the formation of kidney stones that can occur at normal urine pH values (5.5 to 6.2). These primarily include calcium oxalate stones. Its use is also recommended for stones of unknown composition, as well as for patients who have undergone surgical kidney stone removal or stone fragmentation in order to prevent the formation of new kidney stones.

Inflammation

Oxidative stress in particular, but also a lack of antioxidants, can lead to inflammation of the kidney tissue. Deposits (plaque) subsequently form in these inflamed areas, which serve as crystallisation nuclei for kidney stones. If the urine also contains excessive amounts of calcium and oxalate, these crystallise at the edges of the plaque and calcium oxalate stones form. Lit-Control pH Balance reduces tissue damage in the kidneys and inhibits the formation of kidney stones without changing the pH value of the urine.

Effective components of diet management

Lit-Control pH Balance consists of a combination of 5 different active ingredients: Phytate, magnesium, polyphenols, zinc and vitamin A.

Phytates (salts of phytic acid) are obtained from rice bran. They inhibit the formation of calcium crystals.
Instead of calcium, magnesium forms soluble complexes with excess oxalate, which prevent kidney stones from forming.
Polyphenols act as radical scavengers (antioxidants) and thus protect the kidney tissue from inflammation and oxidative stress.
Zinc and vitamin A improve the effect of the phytates. Zinc increases the binding of the phytates to calcium, which means that fewer crystals can form, and vitamin A slows down the breakdown of the phytates.

No interactions with other medications have been observed.

Directions for use

It is recommended to take one capsule at breakfast and one at dinner with a glass of water. The capsules can also be opened, stirred into yoghurt or fruit juice and taken.
Advice: Dietary management with Lit-Control pH Balance should be carried out for at least 3 months and ensures that the pH value of your urine remains within the normal range, that no new kidney stone crystals can form, that existing crystals are inhibited in their growth and that the cell walls of the urinary tract are protected from inflammation and damage.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: rice bran extract (Oryza sativa, 85% calcium magnesium phytate), grape seed extract (Vitis vinifera, 95% polyphenols), magnesium oxide from seawater, zinc gluconate, retinyl acetate (vitamin A).
Other ingredients Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (glazing agent E464), polyvinylpyrrolidone (stabiliser E1201), silicon dioxide (anti-caking agent E551), calcium carbonate (colour E170), starch sodium octenyl succinate (glazing agent E1450), magnesium stearate (stabiliser E470b).
