- The test strips (of the medical device for the in vitro application of URO C KONTROL®) are used to determine the concentration of ascorbic acid in the urine for orientation purposes. 30 seconds after moistening the test strip with fresh urine, the discolouration provides indicative information of a possible deficit of ascorbic acid in the organism.
- In the ideal case (yellow discolouration), continue with the respective dosage or increase the daily dosage if there is a deficiency of vitamin C in the organism (green discolouration). This procedure is very important because the daily requirement and consumption of vitamin C in the organism depends in particular on its current mental and physical stress.
