- Alpha-lipoic acid (thioctic acid) is an endogenous vitaminoid that is involved in many enzymatic metabolic functions as an important coenzyme. Due to its hydrophilic and lipophilic properties, alpha-lipoic acid has a wide range of physiological functions.
- Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for normal functions of the skin, gums, teeth, bones and cartilage. The vitamin increases the absorption of iron, contributes to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E and protects cells from oxidative stress.
